I've been obsessed with photography since a young age. I'd take off with my mum's old 70s Pentax film camera and capture life on the farm in back-country NSW, Australia. Nothing brings me more joy than taking pictures.

I studied communications after school - with a major in journalism. I did as many photojournalism subjects as the uni offered (three) and I spent a lot of time in dark rooms developing film and watching the magic of the developer bring images to life.

I had grand plans of travelling the world as a photojournalist - but digital cameras just didn't feel right at the time and, instead, I got swept up in the glamour of the magazine world. I spent more than 15 years in that industry, going to shoots and secretly/enviously eyeballing the photographers.

Then came three children, born and raised during what seemed like our nomad years; four international moves including Singapore, Hong Kong, back to Singapore and finally to London.

During the first lockdown in 2020, I picked up my old Nikon DSLR. I began to remember just how much I loved taking pictures. So, in-between home schooling and keeping three kids in lockdown entertained, I documented our home life and signed up to some online courses, studying like a demon, to up-skill in digital editing.

Families, mothers and newborns seemed a natural space for me to photograph in... and I feel my focus will remain here. I do have a passion for interiors, though.... so watch this space.
